Too Hot to Be a Widow Club shirt
Inspired by the owner, Martyna Dearing, who jokingly claims to be way too good looking to be a widow.
When people think of widows they often don’t realize many of us are young, fun, energetic and of course insanely beautiful! Being 26 and putting on a black mini dress for my husband’s funeral instead of my birthday party seemed surreal. It didn’t seem right. How could I look so cute and be burying my husband at the same time? I took a picture and posted it on my “close friends” stories with a caption “too hot to be a widow”. Yes, trauma made me funny. After a few months it became a thing. I kept posting for my close friends pictures of me looking great and not understanding how I could be a widow. Technically I know anyone can be one. No matter the age, race, looks or beliefs. We are all in this together. In this crappy club no one would ever join by choice. We are all too beautiful and too young to be going through this. So let’s make it at least slightly more fun by wearing stupid shirts like this one.
